The R.I.S.E. program for girls, ages 6-14, was founded in 1994 by Mona Thompson
to foster healthy
self-esteem through friendships,
self-awareness & community partnerships.

Here are a few updates:
Renovations are in progress. Most of the old walls on the first and second floor have been demolished. The team will continue on the lower level and third floor. The roof has been repaired. The plumbers and electricians will continue within the next few weeks. The bricks have been ordered and we continue to take orders. We are closing the garden, The soil will be prepped with nutrients and covered.
The R.I.S.E. House is a place designed to develop healthy self-esteem,
self-empowerment, and
self-awareness through small group interactions, art classes, education, civic engagement, community partnerships, and collaboration. We believe the model for this house will be duplicated in other communities.

Financial donations are tax-deductible. We have listed several options as examples,
but we are grateful for any seed planted in this important project.
Thank you for helping to build the physical house while we endeavor to build self-esteem.
Our Plan
The first phase of the 2020 expansion is:
- Establishing RISE as its own 501(c)(3) organization to help secure funding for
the variety of programs we will offer.
- Securing the permits to begin the renovation of the house, building the raised beds, fence, and cleaning the area for the garden.
- Fundraisers to assist with the cost of renovations and programming.
The first phase of the project will be completed by October 2020. The second phase will begin mid October.
Our hope is to begin demolition before the winter allowing the work to continue on the inside during the cold months. The timeline is contingent on the dates we receive the town construction permits.
